Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 25, 2026. These terms govern your use of the Slate Azimuth website and every app we publish — including the Exam Coach apps, Station Split, Manifestation: Act & Become, and FilePort.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website hosted at slateazimuth.com (the "Site") or downloading any application distributed by Slate Azimuth LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease accessing our Site and delete our applications from your devices.

2. Exam Coach Apps: Architecture & Data Synchronization

Our study and exam preparation applications are engineered to protect your focus and privacy. (FilePort is covered separately in section 4.)

  • No Account Requirements: You are not required to create a profile, enter a password, or submit personal demographic files to use our software.
  • Local Storage: Your academic study statistics, flashcard review intervals, test scores, and performance history reside exclusively in the sandbox storage of your physical device.
  • Apple iCloud Sync: Multi-device progress synchronization is routed exclusively through your personal private Apple iCloud container. We do not provide, operate, or maintain secondary servers for this study data and have no access to your synchronization payloads.

3. Station Split: Fitness Training & Apple Health

Station Split provides personalized fitness-race training plans, workout guidance, progress tracking, and projected performance information. You remain responsible for deciding whether a workout is appropriate for you and for using equipment, facilities, and Apple devices safely.

  • Health permissions are optional: Station Split reads from or writes to Apple Health only for the data types you authorize. You can decline or revoke access and continue using features that do not require that data. Health and sensor data can be incomplete or inaccurate and must not be used for diagnosis, emergency response, or other medical decisions.
  • Projections are estimates: projected finish times, finish ranges, and split targets are modelled estimates built from the evidence you log. Segments without your own measured data are estimated. They are not a prediction or promise of a race result, and official race formats, loads, and rules can change — always follow the organiser's current rulebook on race day.
  • Your data and imports: training data is stored only on your devices, and you are responsible for the accuracy of results and files you import or enter. Erasing local data in Settings, or deleting the app, permanently removes that data from the device and cannot be undone by us, because we hold no copy. It does not cancel a subscription.
  • Fitness and medical disclaimer: Station Split provides general fitness and training information, not medical advice. Consult a qualified physician before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury. Train within your limits and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. You assume all risk for activities undertaken using this app.
  • Independent product: Station Split is an independent training app. It is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with HYROX® or the owner of the HYROX trademark. "HYROX" is a registered trademark of its respective owner, used here only descriptively to refer to the fitness-race format. All other product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners.

4. FilePort for Mac

FilePort is a macOS utility that copies photos, videos, and files between an Android phone and your Mac. It is a tool you point at your own devices, so the terms that matter are different from the study apps above:

  • Your files stay yours. Transfers run directly between your phone and your Mac. We claim no rights over anything you move, and nothing you move reaches us.
  • Your devices, your content. You are responsible for having the right to access and copy the content you transfer, and for complying with the terms of the devices and accounts involved.
  • Keep a backup. FilePort verifies what it writes and never deletes anything from your phone unless you explicitly ask it to, but no transfer tool is a substitute for a backup. Move irreplaceable files knowing you have a second copy.
  • Android is not ours. Phones differ in what they expose over USB and over wireless debugging, and a manufacturer can change that in an update. We support what we can reach; we cannot promise a specific phone, cable, or Android version will work.

5. Manifestation: Act & Become

Manifestation: Act & Become ("Manifestation") is a local-first goal-setting, action-planning, journaling, reflection, and visualization tool.

  • Local-first and account-free: Manifestation does not require a Slate Azimuth account and has no developer-operated backend for your goals, milestones, actions, intentions, journal entries, progress, or visualization activity. This content is stored and processed on your device and is not sent to us or to an artificial intelligence service. In-app reflection messages use predefined, contextual logic on your device; they are not AI-generated and do not predict the future.
  • Visualization features: guided sessions can use speech generated by voices installed on your device, bundled ambient audio, and device haptics for breathing cues. These features are intended for reflection and motivation. Availability, voice quality, sound output, and haptic behavior depend on your device, operating-system settings, and accessibility settings.
  • Notifications and widgets: reminders are optional and scheduled locally only after you grant notification permission. Widgets use Apple's local App Group storage to display a limited snapshot of the goal, progress, countdown, and action you select. Delivery and refresh timing are controlled by iOS and are not guaranteed. Widget content may be visible to anyone who can see your Home Screen, so choose what you display accordingly.
  • Your content and decisions: you retain ownership of content you enter. You are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and suitability; for having the right to use it; and for decisions or actions you take based on it. Keep an independent copy of anything important. Because we do not receive your local content, we cannot retrieve it if it is edited, reset, or lost, or if the app or device is deleted, damaged, or replaced.
  • Wellness, not professional care: Manifestation provides general wellness, self-reflection, planning, and motivational content. It is not medical, mental-health, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, or other professional advice; it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition; and it is not an emergency or crisis service. Consult an appropriately qualified professional when needed and contact local emergency services in an emergency.
  • No promised outcome: visualization, affirmations, reminders, goals, plans, streaks, projections, and in-app reflection messages do not guarantee that an event will occur or that you will achieve any personal, health, relationship, career, or financial outcome. Results depend on circumstances and actions outside the app and your control.
  • QA Developer Mode: internal, beta, review, or other QA builds may include a clearly labeled Developer Mode for loading simulated profiles and resetting the app. Selecting a simulated profile replaces the current local data snapshot, and choosing the confirmed new-user reset permanently deletes local goals, actions, journal entries, streaks, demo data, and reminder settings. These tools do not transmit that data to us and may be absent from public builds.

6. Drone Flight Logbook

Drone Flight Logbook is a flight-record tool for drone pilots: flight logs, aircraft, batteries, maintenance, checklists and exports.

  • Your records are your responsibility: the app helps you keep records, but you remain responsible for their accuracy and for complying with the aviation rules that apply to you (for example FAA Part 107, Transport Canada or EASA rules). Exports contain what you recorded; they are not certified by any authority.
  • Pro plans: the free version logs up to 10 flights. Pro unlocks unlimited flights and PDF/CSV export and import, either as a yearly auto-renewable subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price, currency and taxes shown by Apple before purchase control over any other description.
  • Automatic renewal: the yearly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel in Settings > [your Apple Account] > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Optional services: weather auto-fill uses OpenWeatherMap and encrypted DJI log import uses DJI's key service with your own DJI key; each is used only when you ask for it, and their availability is not guaranteed.

7. Web Polling & Interactive Services

When you use interactive elements on our Site, such as selecting syllabus topics or submitting state expansion suggestions:

  • You agree to submit accurate, non-fraudulent counts. Using automated bots, scrapers, or multiple virtual machines to artificially inflate voting tallies is strictly prohibited.
  • We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify, reset, or remove any community votes, suggested syllabi, or user interaction modules without notice.

8. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases & Billing

Every app we publish is distributed exclusively by Apple — through the App Store or Mac App Store:

  • Station Split Plans: Station Split offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Onboarding, the first week of the plan, your first projected finish time, and the manual race simulator are free; the full adaptive plan and other paid features require a subscription. The annual plan may include a seven-day free trial for eligible customers when that offer appears in the App Store purchase screen; the monthly plan does not include a trial. The exact price, currency, taxes, trial eligibility, and renewal period shown by Apple before purchase control over any other description.
  • Automatic Renewal: A Station Split subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current subscription or trial period ends. A free trial converts to the annual paid plan shown at purchase unless cancelled before the trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • App Store Billing: All financial transactions, subscription renewals, payments, billing updates, and refund requests are managed exclusively by Apple Inc. under their App Store billing terms. We never collect or store your credit card or financial indicators.
  • Subscription Cancellation: You can manage or cancel an automatic subscription at any time: on iOS in Settings > [your Apple Account] > Subscriptions, and on macOS in App Store > Account > Settings.
  • Standard EULA: In addition to these Terms, your download of any of our apps is subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Except for content you enter or transfer, all content published on our Site and within our applications—including practice questions, custom-crafted text explanations, source curriculum material, graphic layouts, code scripts, and visual brand assets—is the exclusive intellectual property of Slate Azimuth LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use our software and access our content for your own private, non-commercial purposes — exam preparation in the study apps, fitness training in Station Split, goal planning and reflection in Manifestation, and transferring your own files in FilePort. You may not republish, distribute, scrape, or resell any of our questions, training materials, plans, or software without our explicit written consent.

For all of our applications, including FilePort, you are not allowed to reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, tamper with, or create derivative versions of the software or its parts, or to use automated analysis to bypass protections or usage restrictions, unless required by applicable law and only to that extent.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Our coaching engines are engineered to support your professional goals, but Slate Azimuth LLC does not guarantee that using them will produce a passing score on any state certification or license examination. Station Split cannot guarantee a race result, performance improvement, injury-free training, or the accuracy of third-party health and sensor data. Manifestation cannot guarantee that any desired event or personal, wellness, relationship, career, or financial outcome will occur, and it is not a substitute for professional care or judgment. FilePort is engineered to move files faithfully and to verify what it writes, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every phone, cable, or Android version, and it is not a backup service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slate Azimuth LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from examination results, training or racing activity, reliance on Manifestation content, a failed or incomplete transfer, or data loss.
