Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 25, 2026. Slate Azimuth builds software that respects your attention and guards your personal data — from exam prep and fitness training to personal goal planning and file transfer. Here is exactly what that means.

Our Privacy Philosophy

At Slate Azimuth LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), we practice Privacy by Design. We do not want to track you, we do not want to sell your profile, and we do not want to collect your personal details. We believe that the software you install should help you get something done without surveillance.

This policy covers this website and every app we ship: the Exam Coach apps for iOS (Texas Real Estate, Ham Radio, Part 107), Station Split for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,Manifestation: Act & Become for iPhone and iPad, Drone Flight Logbook for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and FilePort for Mac. These products handle different kinds of data, so each has its own section below.

1. Exam Coach Apps: Core Data & Local-First Processing

All curriculum progress indicators, performance records, question tracking states, card review intervals, and predictive readiness metrics generated in our exam coach mobile applications are stored and processed entirely local to your device.

  • No Cloud Sync to Our Servers: Your performance charts and study schedules never transit through our systems.
  • iCloud Container Storage: Standard cloud synchronization is handled exclusively via your personal private Apple iCloud container. We never have access to, visibility over, or ownership of this file stream.

2. Station Split: Training Data & Apple Health

Station Split builds and tracks a personalized fitness-race training plan. Your profile, plan, completed sessions, race details, projections, imported results, and progress history are stored and processed on your devices. Slate Azimuth does not collect or receive this information.

  • No account, analytics, advertising, or tracking: Station Split has no developer-operated account or backend, sends no training or health data to us, includes no third-party analytics or advertising software, and does not use an advertising identifier. The app makes no network requests of its own; links to race-result pages and cited sources open in your browser only when you tap them.
  • Apple Health access is optional: only after you explicitly grant permission, Station Split can read workouts, heart rate, walking/running distance, and workout effort to show training progress and results. It can save workouts, walking/running distance, rowing distance, and workout effort to Apple Health. Processing happens on your devices; this data is never sent to Slate Azimuth, used for advertising, or sold.
  • Apple Watch stays between your devices: the optional Watch app exchanges your plan, race targets, and recorded sessions with your paired iPhone through Apple's device-to-device connection. It does not pass through our servers. On Apple Watch you can also start race mode with Siri, Shortcuts, or Spotlight; this runs in the app on your watch and sends nothing to us.
  • Calendar is write-only and optional: if you ask, Station Split adds your race to your calendar. It asks for write-only access and never reads your calendar.
  • Files you choose stay on your device: a race result file you import, or an event pass you add for Wallet, is kept only in the app's own storage on your device. Pass files are protected and excluded from backups. Live Activities show your current workout on the Lock Screen from data on the device.
  • You control Health permissions: you can review or revoke access in Apple Health or in Settings at any time. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
  • You can erase your data: in Settings, "Erase local data" permanently deletes your profile, plan, workout logs, imports, and other Station Split data on the device and returns the app to first-launch setup. Deleting the app does the same. Neither removes data in the Apple Health app or cancels a subscription. There is no online account to delete.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple: Apple processes Station Split subscriptions and payment details. The app receives only the purchase and subscription status needed to unlock paid features; we do not receive your card or bank details.

Independent product: Station Split is not affiliated with or endorsed by HYROX®.

3. FilePort for Mac: Your Files Never Reach Us

FilePort moves photos, videos, and files between an Android phone and your Mac. We collect no data from it.

  • Your files go phone → Mac, directly: over the USB cable, or over your own Wi‑Fi network if you pair wirelessly. They are never uploaded to us and never pass through a server of ours. We do not see their contents, their names, or how many there are.
  • Diagnostics stay on your Mac: FilePort records events such as a transfer starting or failing in your Mac's own system log, so a problem can be diagnosed. Nothing is transmitted, no account is involved, and no identifier is attached. You can switch it off in FilePort › Settings › Diagnostics.
  • Thumbnails are cached locally: to keep browsing fast, FilePort stores thumbnails and previews in your Mac's standard Caches folder. It trims that cache on its own, and deleting the app deletes it.
  • Purchases go through Apple: FilePort Pro is an in‑app purchase on the Mac App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. We never receive your payment details.

FilePort asks macOS for three things, and only for what it needs to do the job:

  • The destination folder you choose in the macOS panel — FilePort writes copied files there and nowhere else.
  • USB device access — to talk to a phone on a cable.
  • Local network access — only for wireless pairing, to find your phone's wireless‑debugging service on the network you are both already on. The connection runs between your Mac and your phone.

4. Manifestation: Act & Become

Manifestation: Act & Become ("Manifestation") is a local-first goal and reflection app. The display name you enter, goals, reasons, target dates, milestones, daily actions, intentions, journal entries, streaks, and progress are stored and processed on your device. Slate Azimuth does not collect or receive this information.

  • No account, backend, analytics, advertising, or tracking: Manifestation does not send your goals, journal, activity, or identity data to us or to an AI service. The in-app reflection experience uses predefined, contextual prompts on your device and does not predict the future.
  • Visualization stays on your device: spoken guidance uses voices installed by iOS, ambient music is bundled with the app, and breathing cues use the device's haptics. Visualization text and session activity are not sent to Slate Azimuth.
  • Notifications are optional: if you grant permission, Manifestation schedules reminders locally on your device. You can disable them in the app or in iOS Settings.
  • Widgets use Apple's local App Group storage: a limited snapshot of your selected goal, progress, countdown, and current action is shared locally between Manifestation and its widget extension so the widget can display it. We cannot access this data.
  • You control deletion: deleting Manifestation removes its local app data. You can separately review or remove notification permission in iOS Settings.

5. Drone Flight Logbook: Flight Records Stay Yours

Drone Flight Logbook keeps your flights, aircraft, batteries, maintenance, checklists, incidents and pilot details on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database. Slate Azimuth does not collect or receive this information.

  • No account, analytics, advertising, or tracking: there is no developer-operated account or backend, no third-party analytics or advertising software, and no advertising identifier.
  • Private iCloud sync is optional: when iCloud is on, your logbook syncs through Apple's CloudKit private database, which we cannot read. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • Place tags are optional and off by default: after you turn them on, the app rounds a flight's start coordinate to a 0.01-degree grid and sends it to Apple's geocoding service to find a locality name. Results are cached on your device.
  • Weather auto-fill is optional and off by default: when it is available and you tap "Auto-fill" on a flight, the app sends only that flight's coordinates to OpenWeatherMap to look up the conditions. Nothing is sent unless you tap it. See OpenWeatherMap's privacy policy.
  • Encrypted DJI log import is optional: only after a file-specific disclosure and your explicit consent, the app sends the bounded key-request fields of that file, with the personal DJI key you entered, directly to DJI to decrypt it. Your key stays in the device Keychain; raw logs and decrypted data are never sent to us.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple: Apple processes the yearly subscription and the lifetime purchase. The app receives only the purchase status needed to unlock Pro; we do not receive your card or bank details.

Deleting the app removes its local data. To remove synced data, manage iCloud storage in Settings. Drone Flight Logbook is not directed at children under 13.

6. Account-Free Architecture

None of our apps require a developer-operated user account. Some apps may ask for a display name that remains only on your device. We do not receive or store:

  • Your locally entered display name, goals, or journal content
  • Your email address or phone number for an app account
  • External social single sign-on (SSO) credentials

You are fully operational in our apps immediately after downloading.

7. Anonymous Web Syllabus Polling

On our official website, we host an active syllabus and state expansion poll. This system is engineered with extreme data security constraints:

  • Zero-Identity Submission: Proposing a state or voting for a course is recorded as a purely anonymous numeric counter change in our database. We do not link these votes to an IP address, cookies, or unique identifiers.
  • Local Memory Verification: To ensure healthy tallies and prevent double voting, voted course IDs are recorded within your browser's private disk storage area (localStorage). This stay-local context never leaves your browser.

8. Support Communications & Data Deletion

Because we do not require accounts, we do not store your study or training history, scores, plans, or progress on our servers. This data stays on your devices. To delete local application data, delete the app from your device or clear your local browser storage. Apple Health records are controlled separately in the Health app.

If you voluntarily submit a support ticket via our online dashboard or email us at [email protected], we will capture your contact email address and any contextual diagnostics you optionally supply. If you wish to delete this correspondence:

  • How to Request Deletion: You can email us at [email protected] at any time to request the immediate, permanent deletion of your support tickets or email correspondence.
  • Scope of Use: We use your messages solely to address your support concerns, diagnose technical malfunctions, and return answers to your questions. We never distribute, trade, or monetize support histories.

9. Third-Party Infrastructure & Processors

To keep our website fast, secure, and operational, we partner with selected infrastructure providers:

  • Cloudflare (Content Delivery & Security): We use Cloudflare to host our website securely and protect against web-based security threats. Cloudflare processes basic, non-personally identifiable diagnostic logs (like server request metrics) temporarily.
  • Supabase (Database Storage): We use Supabase to host our public syllabus and state expansion polls. This database only records aggregated, anonymous votes (integer counts) and contains no user accounts or personal metadata.
  • Apple: Our apps are distributed exclusively through Apple — the App Store for our iPhone and iPad apps, and the Mac App Store for FilePort — and Apple processes every purchase. Apple Health data stays under Apple's Health privacy controls and is not sent to us. Downloads, payments, and any diagnostics you choose to share with developers are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. What reaches us is the aggregated, anonymous summary Apple shows developers, and only for users who opted into sharing it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy as our applications scale or as regulatory standards advance. When updates are published, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
